XinFin (XDC coin) runs a hybrid private / public blockchain network that aims to streamline trade finance (import / export stuff). Their network allows for digitizing and tokenizing of global trade finance with a settlement time of a couple seconds. Here’s the greatest video ever made about XinFin:
For now, global trade relies on ridiculously complex computer networks with a myriad of languages and systems trying to talk each other. It sounds like a tangled nightmare to me.
XinFin is working to upgrade and streamline the whole thing (if they can reach mass adoption). Clearing this trade blockage will be hugely beneficial to the flow of goods and the functioning of our species.
They are ISO 20022 compliant, along with only four other cryptocurrencies (XRP, XLM, IOTA, and ALGO). ISO 20022 is an international finance standard. Many think this will be widely adopted by the global banking system (central banks) in the near future.
XinFin Network and Blockchain Features
- A consortium of masternodes validate transactions and produce blocks. They each must hold at least 10,000,000 XDC coins.
- Compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)
- Delegated Proof of Stake Consesus (XDPoS) for speed and energy efficiency
- Double validation for better security and lower chance of forks
- KYC while setting up a node
- Randomized for fairness and preventing hand shake attacks
- Allows relay bridges between their public and private blockchains
- 2000 transactions per second
- Native smart contracts
The hybrid nature of XinFin network is important. This allows for companies to upgrade their cross border trade finances while maintaining privacy in their business transactions. Internal audits on supply, imports, and exports become easy too.
Features of the XDC Cryptocurrency
- The utility token of XinFin’s hybrid blockchain
- Settlement mechanism for DApps on the XinFin network
- Average fee of $0.0001
- Total max supply of 37,500,000,000 (with over 1 billion locked up in masternodes)
- The base crypto for XinFin DEXs
Note: XDCe (an ERC-20 token) is being phased out.
XinFin Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs)
There’s a couple new DEXs using XDC as the base currency. They both seem to be functional, so check out the wallets they use and their coins listed. This is not financial advice, but I think they will be huge and their coins will be too. It’s a good time to research them further. They are…
- XSwap (XSP): This automated market maker (AMM) has a head start on the next one. Make sure you are studying the correct XSwap since there are two out there!
- Globiance (GBEX): They have a working DEX for XDC coins.
From what I’ve studied so far, it seems XSwap will be more focused on staking and farming for their liquidity pools. I’ll keep obsessively researching, though!
In conclusion, I think XDC and XinFin will greatly enhance world trade into the future. Give this one a study, especially the new coins coming out on their DEXs.
